[How to]Resize Multiple Images with Photoshop

Introduction

Recently, lots of my friends asked me "how to resize multiple pictures?" some of you may got a programs such as "Microsoft Powertoys Image Resizer" or "VSO Image resizer" but both of them when you finished the resize process the picture quality get distorted or pixelate(รูปแตก)...

So this is the way out! just use your photoshop to resize it but.. HOW?

before we start I just wanna tell you something. This photoshop feature available for a long time but people just don't know how to do it and this is my first post (on this website) so i want to post something useful to you guys. so lets start!
How to?



1. You got too much images to resize once at a time ane the file size is way too large to send to your friends with MSN.
2. Open your photoshop choose Files > Scripts > Image Processor.

3. The window should be pop out and looks like this.

Here's some explanation (in Thai.)

1. Select the images to process.

- Use Open Images
อันนี้เหมือนกับว่าคุณเปิดรูปที่คุณต้องการจะย่อไว้ใน Photoshop เรียบร้อยแล้ว

-Select Folder
อันนี้คือการ Resize ทั้ง Folder ครับ ในกรณีนี้ผมเลือก ย่อทั้ง Folder

-Open First images to apply settings
อันนี้เป็น Feature สำหรับ RAW Images ครับ

2. Select location to save processed images.

- Save in same location
เซฟที่เดียวกัน ไม่ต้องกลัวว่ามันจะทับ เพราะ Photoshop จะสร้าง Folder ใหม่ให้เราเองเลย ในกรณีนี้ผมใช้เซฟ ที่เดียวกัน

- Select Folder
เซฟที่อื่น ตามต้องการ

3. File Type
เลือกว่าเราอยากเซฟเป็นแบบไหนบ้าง

- JPEG
รูปทั่วไปที่ส่งให้กัน ในกรณีนี้ผมใช้ JPEG


- Resize to Fit
อย่าลืมติ๊กนะครับ เพราะถ้าไม่ติ๊กจะทำให้รูปเสียสมดุลย์

- Quality
มีตั้งแต่ 0-12 อย่าลืมว่า ถ้ารูป Quality สูงจะทำให้ไฟล์ใหญ่ตามไปด้วย ดูตามรูปครับ


ถ้าต้องการย่อส่งให้เพื่อนแนะนำที่ 10 ครับ
ในกรณีนี้ผมอยากได้ Quality มากที่สุด เลือก 12 ครับ


-W & H
กว้างยาวครับ กรณีนี้ผมกำหนดเป็น 1024*1024 เผื่อรูปแนวตั้ง ไว้ด้วยครับ

*อันนี้อาจจะงงนิดนึง เหมือนคุณสร้าง กรอบขึ้นมาแล้วบอก โปรแกรมว่า ห้าม resize เกินนี้นะ อะไร ประมาณนี้ครับ

-PSD
เซฟเป็นไฟล์ Photoshop เพื่อไว้ใช้ในงานต่อไป

-TIFF
อันนี้ไม่ขอพูดถึงแล้วกันครับ เดี๋ยวยาว ถ้าอยากรู้ก็ (TIFF)

4. Preference

- Run Action
อันนี้คุณสามารถใส่ Filter ต่างๆได้ครับเช่นขาวดำเป็นต้น

- Copyright
ใส่ Copyright ได้เลยครับ ถ้าจะทำไปโพสตามเว็บต่างๆ

- Include ICC Profile
อันนี้ไม่ขอพูดแล้วกันครับมันเป็นเรื่องของสี แต่แนะนำให้ติ๊กครับ (ICC)

4. After finished the configuration press RUN and WAIT...
Finish!

350 MB > 57 MB

57MB maybe still too large. It's because of the size and quality that i choose.

Now the folder is ready to ZIP and send to your friends!

IMPORTANT NOTES*

1.ขนาดรูปจะใหญ่หรือเล็กขึ้นอยู่กับ ประเถทของไฟล์, ขนาดของรูป และ Quality ที่คุณใช้
2.อย่าลบรูปที่คุณถ่ายมาทิ้งเพราะไฟล์ที่เราย่อมันไม่ชัดเหมือนรูปเดิมๆ
